Emerson has announced it is selling its majority stake in Climate Technologies to private equity fund manager Blackstone Private Equity.

Emerson sells Climate Technologies

Emerson has announced it is selling its majority stake in Climate Technologies to private equity fund manager Blackstone Private Equity.

The sale of Climate Technologies includes the Copeland compressor division and the entire profile of HVAC/R products and services. The agreement is part of Emerson’s move to become a pure-play global automation company.

Emerson will retain a non-controlling ownership interest in the new standalone joint venture.
