The Ontario government has announced a partnership with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) to co-deliver the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability (OHPA) program in Ontario. IESO will deliver the OHPA program through its Save on Energy program. Through the OHPA program income-qualified homeowners can access up to $25,000, as well as an upfront $250 payment, to help cover the cost of switching from oil to an electric heat pump.
