Ontario has filed regulations to remove interprovincial barrier for Canadian workers coming to Ontario. As of January 1, 2026, Canadians in certified in-demand professions covered by 50+ regulatory authorities (including Skilled Trades Ontario) and 300 certifications, can begin working in the province within 10 days, once their credentials are confirmed by the regulator.
